Master of Djinn

While I love a good fantasy and alternative history, I am not the biggest fan of detective novels. Apparently, the author wrote several short stories with some of the same characters. I haven't read those but I think they may have given a much better background on the main character.
At first, I just wasn't that into this book but eventually, it became a rip-roaring adventure. Once again, just not a style that I prefer. However, it was well written and has a lot of great qualities.
If you like alternative history and detective novels, I highly recommend this novel.
