Do you ever want to like a book but something about it still just bothers you?

The concept of The Funny Book is adorable. The two friends remind me of Mo Willem's adorable duo Gerald & Piggy. The dialogue is very similar. However, this book centers around ignoring set boundaries. While we should share with our friends when we can, it is not always possible.

I see there being a potential message here that I do not want to share with children but otherwise I love the illustrations and I even admit the characters are likeable.
